I’ve been at VMware since 2010, starting in our field office in NJ running Professional Services in the Northeast. Our organization restructured a year later, and the job my peer was doing in the West (from Denver) opened up. I asked my boss at the time if I could take his job – and run it from North County. He said “sure!” … and even moved us here! 🙂
At a macro level, while our company may not be a household name to many, the technology developed at VMware has had a profound impact on how we all (knowingly or not) use technology everyday, and I’m proud to be associated with a company that has in many ways changed the world. On a more personal note, I get to work with so many talented, ambitious and brilliant people on a daily basis, the best part is seeing these people on our team both succeed and ascend to greater roles and responsibilities within our organization and company. It’s happened a lot!
Too many to choose from! Living in Leucadia across the street from Fish 101 makes that an easy call, but I love Union and Birdseye Kitchen, too. Stoked for a good ramen place to open up … c’mon, Rooster Ramen!
So many to mention … some cool ones can be seen here: “>
Historically I have worked from home when not traveling for business (which I do a lot) … but there’s something more stimulating to be in an office environment with other people. BLOC offers a relaxed atmosphere with great energy, and I’m genuinely excited to come into the office to chat the great people here and help build the terrific vibe that already exists.
